About Us

We are Syracuse University’s chapter of Active Minds. Welcome to our blog!

We are your student-run mental health activism group. We are part of a national organization that aims to combat the stigma associated with mental illness and promote awareness of mental health issues among the student body.

Our mission is to change the conversation about mental illness from one of shame and fear to one of acceptance, inclusion, and celebration.

Our passion is to reach as many students as possible and to get you all on board with us.

Our blog is a space to carry these conversations out of our meetings and into your own hands. Here, you’ll find personal stories, opinions about mental health issues that matter to your peers, as well as information about what Active Minds is doing around campus.

This is a space created by us, for you. If you want to add your voice to the conversation, email us at SYRActiveMinds@gmail.com. We can’t wait to hear what you have to say.
